Don Dixon

Don Dixon: guitar/vocals

Don’s musical journey began in grade school, playing in garage bands. It continued into high school and college where he began sharpening his skills in night clubs, barrooms, and at festivals. In 1981 he worked for a studio in Dothan, AL where he became a guitarist in a touring band opening shows for Alabama, Brenda Lee, George Jones, Johnny Paycheck, George Strait, and others. By ’82 Don was in Athens, GA playing with a band that worked with Leon Russell, Vera Gosdin, and others.

Don moved to Nashville, TN in 1986 where he worked as a free lance guitarist in the studio and as a touring musician until 2017. He worked with many up and coming young talents and a few sons, daughters, nieces, and nephews of some very famous in that thirty year time span.

Now Don calls Darien, GA home and he’s found a really nice fit in the Touch of Grey Band of brothers… music, peace & love.
